Kid-friendly after school snacks

So, you all know I’m a fur mama. And, luckily for me, I’m not tempted to snack on Diego’s kibble! I’ve gotta give kudos to you mamas with kiddos at home. I mean HOW do you keep growing folks fed AND stick to your own health goals?

Well, I’m not entirely sure. But I have some ideas!

My best tip is to help them eat healthy foods too! You’re not going to be finishing off anyone’s chicken nuggets when there are none to be had!

This week I’m sharing some of my favorite kid-friendly after school snack ideas. Some are quick to prep:

  • Berry smoothie bowl

  • Fruit and yogurt parfait

And some are easily prepped ahead of time:

  • S’mores protein balls (Um, yes, there will be PEANUT BUTTER!)

  • Protein rice krispy treats!

And it’s not so much a recipe, but how could we forget the adult lunchable… I mean a bistro box? Chop up those leftover veggies from your weekly meal prep, add some cheese, meats, olives, and crackers, and Ta da! Bistro box. So much fancier (and wholesome!) than a lunchable.

But hey. I’m not judging ANYBODY for some pre-packaged goods. Especially you caring for LITERAL miniature humans. My printable this week will also link to some of my favorite pre-packaged pre-made snacks. Think: Popcorn, nuts, edamame!
