I love a bargain as much as the next girl, but one place I definitely don’t skimp is running shoes!
Especially in the age of late night scrolling, it can be easy to scoop up something cute for a fabulous price! When your order arrives the fit might be “meh” but returns and exchanges are such a hassle, so you wear them anyway. And they look great, so why not?
Stop that. Don’t do that.
I highly recommend going IN PERSON to a shoe shop and seeing a REAL PERSON to be fitted for running shoes! These people are so skilled in what they do and the right shoes make all the difference in preventing injuries and keeping you cozy. Well, as cozy as you can be when you’re maxing out in a HIIT workout!

When you visit a running shoe store, they will analyze three main things to help you choose shoes.
Gate: Most stores have a treadmill to watch you walk or run to analyze how your foot hits the ground. Does your foot roll in, out, or is it neutral? This will determine the stability needed in your shoe.
Arch: You can determine if you have a low, normal, or high arch by looking at the wear pattern in your last pair of shoes.
Activity: What do you plan to do in these shoes? Different activities require more or less cushioning.
