20 Food Swaps to Save You Calories

This week I’m talking about healthy food swaps. These swaps are SO easy and SO good you won’t even miss the originals. By changing out specific items in your diet, you can save calories and fat content. These two pieces are essential to losing weight and you’ll definitely thank me later.

One of the best swaps I utilize in my diet is switching out sour cream for Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt tastes the same as sour cream but has fewer calories and more protein (which also helps you hit that daily protein goal!). You can use Greek yogurt by itself with fruit or in dips, soups, as a topping, and even as a ranch dressing alternative. YUM!

Another swap I’m often turning to is how to make my coffee healthier when splurging on Starbucks. Starbucks has a number of delicious coffee options, but beware, some are loaded with hidden calories and fat! When ordering at Starbucks, I opt for skim milk and tailor the sweetener to my liking instead of going with the original recipe. Many of the recipes I order I get from @TheMacroBarista on Instagram! There are an endless amount of super yummy drinks on his page that are low in calories and fat!
