My favorite iced coffee drinks for spring and summer

Hey there, SIS! Are you LOVING this fabulous weather we are finally getting? Outdoor runs: HERE I COME!

Is there a better way to start the day than with a cool outdoor run?

Yes?

With caffeine? 

Okay, fair. I’ve gotta have a jolt to start the day but I hate mixing hot drinks with hot weather. I love that iced coffee drinks have gotten so popular in the last few years! De-LISH!

At first I didn’t get the hype. (So we drink the coffee…. cold?) But now, I’m a believer! Mostly because there are so many yummy ways to enjoy espresso with low-cal options for mixing.

I kind of hate how articles add up all of the calories of “fancy” drinks to show how much a daily drink will “cost” you over time. Like, what, does a healthy lifestyle mean I have to drink hot black coffee forever? Or like, Diet Mountain Dew? (P.S. I’m not trusting anyone who tells me that low calorie = healthy! See: Diet Mountain Dew)

Um, no. I put together a list of some of my favorite cold coffee-shop drinks and the one with the VERY MOST calories has 105. Less than a glass of wine. And my iced skinny matcha? 80 calories.

Here’s a plan. Let’s put that little key pocket in your running shorts to good use. Roll up some cash, and plan your run route past the cutest coffee shop you can find. Treat yo’ self to a delicious drink after your workout!

We’ll make it a little more special with some caramel and vanilla syrups and some blonde espresso.
