5 Low-Cal Christmas Cocktail Recipes
You guys, isn’t this time of year wonderful? Christmas is seriously my favorite.
We’ve had our stockings hung by the fireplace and our tree in the living room since before Thanksgiving. I’ve been working on getting presents wrapped, but if you’re a SIS regular, you saw that my French bulldog Diego found the presents and pulled his new tennis balls out of their hiding place during my live workout this week! What a little stinker!
Michael and I are getting ready for a trip back to our home state of Iowa for the holidays, and I’ve been getting SO excited to see my real-life sister again and celebrate the season with our loved ones.
Along with those holiday get-togethers and family time comes a lot of celebratory snacks and drinks. When it comes to cocktails, I’m happy to enjoy a couple BUT so many cocktails are full of sugary, syrupy additives that my stomach starts to hurt and I get filled up with just a half a glass. Are you the same?
No one wants to feel that way this time of year, so that’s why this week I’m sharing some of my favorite low-cal cocktail recipes that you can mix up for your next party or make at home to enjoy while finishing up your wrapping!
One of my favorites from this list is the Christmas Mule. I love how light and refreshing it is while incorporating seasonal spices of cinnamon and fruits like cranberries…ahhhh, chef’s kiss. I have a collection of copper mugs in our basement bar that are as functional as they are cute, so I love getting them out during the holidays for this treat!

Christmas Mule
INGREDIENTS
1 SHOT OF VODKA
1/2 CAN OF GINGER BEER
1 SHOT OF CRANBERRY JUICE
4 FRESH MINT LEAVES
1 SLICE OF FRESH GINGER - PEELED + MUDDLED
ICE
LIME WEDGE
ORANGE PEEL CURL
CINNAMON STICK
FRESH CRANBERRIES
DIRECTIONS
MUDDLE THE FRESH MINT AND GINGER OR CHOP VERY FINE.
ADD ICE TO YOUR COPPER MUG.
POUR IN THE VODKA, GINGER BEER, AND CRANBERRY JUICE.
